IT | “Andy Warhol 30 years later – Asolo” è l’esposizione dedicata al grande esponente del Visual Art Movement ovvero della Pop Art americana a 30 anni dalla sua morte. Asolo, la città da sempre fulcro di un fitto scambio culturale, artistico e letterario ospita presso il Museo Civico la rassegna dal 28 gennaio al 17 aprile 2017.
Le sale museali accolgono le opere più famose, nonché iconiche dell’artista americano tra cui, le celebri tele dedicate a Marilyn Monroe, Mao Tse Tung, i Flowers, i Dollari e le Interviews, libri raramente in esposizione realizzati dall’artista nel 1967.
L’arte di Andy Warhol arriva a tutti, poiché non deve e non può essere capita, ma può piacere oppure no. Arte sdoganata dai classici canoni estetici proponendosi dirompente a chiunque. Un coacervo di provocazione e ironia, esasperando la riproduzione seriale dove l’intervento dell’artista risulta minimo, a volte inesistente. Creando un parallelo tra la rivoluzione industriale del capitalismo, in cui i prodotti venivano offerti in serie ai consumatori, così Warhol estremizza la produzione di massa anche nell’arte consegnandola nelle mani di chiunque, perché il suo Visual Art Movement può essere compreso da chiunque. E’ proprio nella sua The Factory attraverso la serigrafia che le riproduzioni seriali prendono forma, regalandoci Marylin Monroe, bottiglie di Coca Cola ecc. La ripetizione è il suo metodo di successo, svuotando di significato l’immagine, attraverso la sua stessa ripetizione.
“Massimo interprete del proprio tempo” afferma Matteo Vanzan “intuì che usare come modello per un quadro la spesa fatta al supermercato rappresentava la migliore strada per aprire l’arte alla rivoluzione del consumismo e della comunicazione di massa. Basti pensare al mondo della Factory e alle sue celebri serigrafie, finalizzate a produrre immagini in serie, creando un parallelo con la produzione industriale a ciclo continuo per prodotti destinati al grande pubblico”.
La mostra sarà inaugurata il prossimo 27 gennaio 2017 alle ore 20.30 presso la Sala Consigliare di Asolo e sarà aperta il giovedì e il venerdì dalle 15.00 alle 19.00, il sabato e la domenica dalle 10.00 alle 12.30 e dalle 15.00 alle 19.00 con biglietto d’ingresso di 8 euro. The art of Andy Warhol reaches everyone. A blend of provocation and irony, exasperating the mass production where the artist’s intervention is minimal. Creating a parallel between the industrial revolution of capitalism, in which the products were offered in series to consumers. In the same way Warhol emphasizes the mass production in arts delivering it into the hands of anyone. Because its Visual Art Movement can be understood by all. In The Factory take shape the serial reproductions like the popular Marylin Monroe, Coca Cola bottles etc. Repetition is his success depriving the meaning of an image through its own repetition.
“The most important representative of his time,” says Matteo Vanzan “he sensed that grocery shopping was the best way to open the arts to the revolution of mass communications. Just think about The Factory and its famous silkscreen printings, aimed at producing images in series, creating a parallel with the industrial production in a continuous cycle of products intended for the general public. ”
The exhibition will be opened on January 27th, 2017 at 8.30pm at the Sala Consigliare in Asolo and will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 10.00am to 12.30pm and from 3.00pm to 7.00pm. And while in Asolo take some time to pay a visit to one of the most beautiful towns in Italy.
