Asolo is one of the most beautiful villages (borghi) in Italy, discrete as well as fascinating. The best way to discover its hidden treasures is walking through its narrow alleys.

Starting from the Museo Civico, Via Regina Cornaro 74 , +390423952313, which contains the history of the city, from its origins to its link with the famous people who have made of Asolo their second home. Going to the Castello, via Sottocastello, the medieval residence of Caterina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, now housing a fancy bar and the Teatro Duse. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Breda, built on the foundations of a Roman bath complex, contains paintings by Lorenzo Lotto and Jacopo Da Bassano. A leisurely stroll leads to the cemetery of S. Anna, via S. Anna 3111, where F. Stark and E. Duse are buried. The entrance is near the homonymous church and here you enjoy one of the best views over the Asolo hills. Going along Via Bembo you can reach the Rocca dating back in the twelfth century and from whose top you can admire the 100 horizons praised by the Italian poet Carducci.

In addition to the magnificent frescoes by Veronese, visit the collection of carriages and the Temple of Palladio.
