Visiting Villa Emo – Fanzolo

Tra il mio girovagare per la provincia di Treviso, non potevo saltare una tappa fondamentale: Villa Emo. Ci sono stata in un sabato pomeriggio, quando la fioca luce autunnale stava lasciando spazio al crepuscolo.

Innanzitutto l’accoglienza e’ stata davvero molto amichevole ed ho avuto la possibilita’ di vedere la Villa tramite gli occhi e le parole di Ilaria, che conoscendo i piu’ interessanti aneddoti di Villa Emo, ha reso ancora piu’ affascinante la visita.

Ogni ultimo fine settimana del mese, si puo’ partecipare alla visita guidata che racconta l’evoluzione della moda dal ‘500, anno di costruzione della villa palladiana, fino al ‘700. I modelli esposti in Villa verranno scomposti per spiegarne l’utilizzo, mentre nella sala adiacente dei piccoli modellini rappresentano l’evoluzione della moda in 200 anni. Non mancano 2 acconciature da signora che risultano essere state molto acclamate all’epoca. Quindi segnatevi le prossime due date del 26 e 27 ottobre.

During my wander around the province of Treviso, I could not stop in a milestone place such as Villa Emo. I was there on a Saturday afternoon, when the dim autumn light was giving way to the dusk.

First of all, the welcome was very friendly and I had the chance to know the Villa through the eyes and words of Ilaria, who knows the most interesting anecdotes of Villa Emo, which made the visit even more fascinating.

Every last weekend of the month, you can join the guided tour that focused on the evolution of fashion from the ‘500, year of construction of the Palladian villa, up to ‘700. The models on display in the Villa will be broken down to explain its use, while in the adjacent room there are several small models representing the evolution of fashion in 200 years. There’s the showcase of 2 lady hairstyles which were apparently highly acclaimed at that time.
